The iPhone 15 series boasts four remarkable models. The standard iPhone 15 kicks things off at a price point of $799, while the more expansive iPhone 15 Plus starts at $899. The iPhone 15 Pro steps up the game at a starting price of $999, and the larger iPhone Pro Max is available from $1,199.

Preorders for all four iPhone models will start on September 15, with in-store availability scheduled for September 22.

iPhone 15 features

The standard iPhone 15 features a 6.1-inch display, while the 15 Plus offers a 6.7-inch screen. These phones introduce “Dynamic Island,” a redesigned notch at the screen’s top, conserving valuable visual space. This feature, initially introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models, serves as a tool for tracking various ongoing activities, such as navigation or music playback.

These models are powered by the A16 chip, following in the footsteps of the iPhone 14 Pro. They come in black, blue, pink, white, and yellow color.

iPhone 15 boasts an upgraded camera system, allowing for more extensive optical zoom capabilities by transitioning from a 12-megapixel main camera sensor to a 48-megapixel version.

iPhone 15 Pro Series

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 and showcases several premium enhancements.

The series incorporates the faster A17 chip, promising an enhanced mobile gaming experience. Titanium sides replace the stainless steel seen in previous models.

The iPhone 15 Pro models feature three cameras with a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max camera introduces innovative features, including a 5X optical zoom.

The iPhone 15 Pro models offer an array of sleek colors, including black, dark blue, dark gray, and light grey.

The Series 9 Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra 2

Accompanying the iPhone 15 series, the Apple Watch Series 9 will also hit the market on September 22, with a price tag of $399. Powered by the new S9 SiP processor, the new series offers significantly faster performance compared to the 2020 version.

The Series 9 showcases refreshed colors, including pink, midnight, and silver. A new feature called “double tap” allows users to answer calls and control various app actions by tapping their index finger and thumb together, twice.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 features the “double tap” functionality and is equipped with the S9 SiP processor. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is priced at $799.

Transition to USB-C

Apple confirmed a shift away from its Lightning charging system and adoption of the USB-C port. This transition begins with the iPhone 15 series and the AirPods charging case. This change aligns with European Union regulations aimed at standardizing charging ports for electronic devices.

A decade of innovation

Over the years, Apple has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation. From the introduction of the iPad in 2010 to the groundbreaking Apple Watch in 2014 and the game-changing AirPods in 2016, Apple has firmly entrenched itself as an integral part of people’s lives worldwide.

With over 1.2 billion iPhones sold, Apple continues to be a tech giant, boasting net sales exceeding $394 billion in the previous year. Since the unveiling of the first iPhone in January 2007, the company’s stock price has skyrocketed by over 5,000%, solidifying its position as a global technology leader.
