All Hype, No Action: Zuck Puts an End to Cage Fight

Two months after all the back-and-forth about this cage fight between Musk and Zuck, the anticipation appears to be fading away. Well, at least when it comes to Mark Zuckerberg, as he decided to call it quits on the whole billionaire battle. Elon Musk, on the other hand, seems to keep trolling, as usual.

Remember that whole cage fight idea between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg? Well, it seems that there will be no such thing. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, got tired of all the hype and no action has decided to put an end to the whole billionaire brawl.

In a post on Threads, Zuckerberg stated, “I believe we can all agree that Elon isn’t being serious, and it’s time for us to move on.”

In the same post, Zuckerberg elaborated that he offered a legitimate date for the fight, but Musk kept avoiding confirming a date on the pretext of needing surgery. This would push the fight further by a couple of months. But what appears to have irritated Zuck and made him call it quits was Musk all of a sudden suggesting a practice round Meta CEO’s backyard.

The repeated delays seem to have taken a toll on Zuckerberg. After he posted on Threads calling off the fight, Musk responded by calling him a chicken. This isn’t entirely new, as Musk has used name-calling against Zuckerberg before on several occasions.

Will it or won’t it happen?

Though it might seem like Zuckerberg is in the clear, it appeared that Musk was indeed interested in the fight. He seriously claimed that the event would occur at a historic location in Rome, most likely at the Colosseum. After all, could any other venue befit such filthy rich fighters as the two CEOs.

Musk seemed to confirm this, as he posted ‘Gladiator’ with sword emojis on X.

While it’s starting to feel like this fight might be postponed indefinitely, Zuckerberg is keeping the door open. He concluded his post by saying that if Elon ever became serious about scheduling an actual date and making it an official event, he knows how to get in touch. Otherwise, he would focus on competing with those who approach the sport with genuine intent.

As a response, Musk posted his own fight recap on X, wondering if there is a place Zuck would fight.

"Ever tried. Ever failed. Never mind. Try again. Fail better."
